The competition

Formula 1 is an international single-seater championship. Drivers compete for individual points while teams compete in the constructors’ championship. Each team runs two cars.

The weekend

A standard weekend includes practice, qualifying, and the Grand Prix. Qualifying determines the starting order. Sprint weekends have an additional short race and a different schedule; check the official event timetable.

Strategy matters

Tires, pit stops, traffic, and weather all affect the race. A fast car is only part of the story: timing and teamwork can change the outcome.
